Rocky Patel Moves German Distribution to M. K. & Söhne
On the eve of InterTabac 2024, a trade show focused on international distributors, Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc. has announced that it has moved its German distribution from Kopp Tobaccos GmbH & Co. to M. K. & Söhne.
The move is similar to Ashton, which earlier this week announced that it was mocking from Kopp to M. K. & Söhne. Like Ashton, Rocky Patel had been distributed by Kohlhase & Kopp, now known as Kopp Tobaccos GmbH & Co. Last summer, the Adam and Daniel Kohlhase announced that they were leaving Kohlhase & Kopp after spending nearly three decades at the company. They launched M. K. & Söhne, whose team also includes Katharina, Daniel’s wife.
“We are thrilled that Rocky Patel has entrusted us with representing the brand in Germany, one of the most important markets outside the USA, said the Kohlhase brothers in a press release. “We are committed to fulfilling this trust.”
These announcements come just as InterTabac 2024 is set to begin in Dortmund, Germany. InterTabac takes place between Sept. 19-21.
M. K. & Söhne says it expects to begin shipping the cigars in early October.
Update (Oct. 4, 2024) — Katharina was previously listed as the Kohlhases’ sister, she is Daniel’s wife.
