Rocky Patel is the new supplier of the official cigar for the Cigar Smoking World Championship and that cigar is heading to stores this week.

The Cigar Smoking World Championship (CSWC) is an annual event that attracts competitors from all over the world. The basic goal is to smoke a cigar for as long as possible without the cigar ever going out. Previously, Macanudo was the official cigar provider, but now that role goes to Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc.

Unlike Macanudo, which used an existing brand for the line, Rocky Patel has created a new line just for the occasion. It’s offered in three sizes, though the Mareva size is the one that will actually be used for the event.

  • Rocky Patel Cigar Smoking World Championship Mareva (5 1/8 x 42) — $8.75 (Box of 10, $87.50)
  • Rocky Patel Cigar Smoking World Championship Robusto (5 x 50) — $9.75 (Box of 20, $195)
  • Rocky Patel Cigar Smoking World Championship Toro (6 x 52) — $10.75 (Box of 20, $215)

The blend uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua.

While the cigar was shown off at the Intertabac trade fair last September, its debut is taking place at this week’s Tobacco Plus Expo 2020 (TPE) trade show in Las Vegas. Rocky Patel is already shipping the Mareva size to stores and expects the other two sizes to be on shelves by the end of February.
