The Rocky Patel Sun Grow Maduro will be the latest cigar to get the DeSocio treatment.

Next month, Rocky Patel Premium Cigars, Inc. will ship the Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro DeSocio, a 5 3/4 x 46 corona gorda. Pricing is set at $8.25 per cigar.

It’s the latest in a series of cigars carrying the DeSocio name, all made for Alliance Cigar, a New York-based distributor.

The name comes from Alliance founder Tom Sullivan’s maternal grandfather. Sullivan explained that he opted to use the name in 2013 because his mother was the only living member of the DeSocio family and he wanted to keep the name alive.

This is the eighth DeSocio release to date:

“We are honored and proud of our 15-plus year friendship and working relationship with Rocky and Nish Patel,” said Sullivan in a press release. “This addition to our DeSocio Series is a result of our friendship and passion for the small craft artistry of our industry.”

The Sun Grown Maduro was introduced in 2015. It uses a dark broadleaf wrapper over dual binders with Nicaraguan tobacco from Condega in the filler.
