The old boss of JR Cigar was Rob.

The new boss of JR Cigar is Rob.

JR Cigar has named Rob Maneson as the new head of the retailer whose businesses include catalog and internet retailers, as well as retail stores—though many of those are now transitioning to the Casa de Montecristo name. Maneson was most recently the ceo of Casa de Montecristo, his new title makes him the ceo of JR Cigar.

Maneson replaces Rob Norris, who served as the head of JR Cigar from January 2014 until last month. Norris is now the new head of Altadis U.S.A.

Both Robs will report to Javier Estades, the head of Tabacalera USA, which is the Imperial Brands, plc subdivision that ranges the British company’s cigar interests in the U.S., which include the aforementioned Altadis U.S.A., JR Cigar and 16 retail stores bearing the Casa de Montecristo and JR Cigar names.

Maneson has been at Imperial since January 2013. His experience prior to that includes six years at Altria and 16 months as the category manager of cigarettes at RaceTrac gas stations.

A new ceo of Casa de Montecristo is expected to be announced shortly.
