Andre Farkas announced that Viaje’s next WLP, Winter Classic, was scheduled to ship this week alongside the 10 Gauge version of Super Shot. Winter Classic is a 4 1/2 x 48 Rothschild shape and being described as a totally original blend. The ring gauge is a slight departure for Viaje who normally puts out cigars that are a bit thicker than traditional.
Winter Classic is the fifth White Label Project release and the first of 2012. The current line-up looks like:
- White Label Project —(5 5/8 x 46)
- White Label Project Candela — (5 x 50)
- White Label Project Fifty | Fifty Red Red — (6 x 48)
- White Label Project Stuffed Turkey — (5 x 60)
- White Label Project Winter Classic — (4 1/2 x 48)
As is common with Viaje, the blend is a Nicaraguan puro with a Corojo wrapper made at the Fábrica de Tabacos Raíces Cubanas S. de R.L. factory in Danlí, Honduras. Viaje will release 250 bundles of 25 cigars (6,250 total cigars), the largest WLP release to date. The cigars will carry a MSRP of $8.00 or $200.00 per bundle.
Super Shot was a brand that Farkas showed off last year and was originally announced as a January release, but quickly seemed destined for February.
For February, only the Super Shot 10 Gauge (3 1/2 x 54) will be released. Super Shot 12 Gauge (3 1/4 x 52) has been delayed until March. Super Shot 10 Gauge is packed in boxes of 25 that carry a price tag of $185.00, pricing singles at $6.40.
In addition, Farkas showed off a new version of the White Label Project Candela. The only details available at this time is the size, which is slightly larger than the 2011 version, measuring at 5 x 52.
