Regius Cigars Ltd. will in fact be turning to Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. to help its warehouse and fulfillment needs.

The company will continue to have its own sales brokers, but its cigars will be stored at and shipped from the Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co. warehouse in Houston. Regius will still be produced at Plasencia Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.

“I am excited about this new opportunity,” said Akhil Kapacee, Regius’ founder, in a press release. “It will allow us to have more operational flexibility, and ensure consistent and timely delivery of the product going forwards. The quality of the cigars will remain unchanged.”

Late last month, the company announced it was ending its distribution deal with Quesada effective April 30.

“Akhil is a good friend of mine and once we talked about our operation in Houston with my newest brands (he) asked me if I can help him with the warehousing and shipping,” said Oscar Valladares, president of Oscar Valladares Tobacco & Co.

Kapacee also announced that Regius would be in the Oscar Valladares booth at the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which takes place this July in Las Vegas, Nev.
