Quesada Cigars has formally announced a variety of management changes to its family-owned company including a new management staff, sales leadership and operations.

Some of these changes have been in the works for months, while others have happened in the last few weeks. Those changes are:

  • Fruela Roces is the new general manager and director
  • Carlos Martinez is the vp of operations
  • Enrique Tavarez is the vp of sales
  • Patricia Quesada is the director of global sales
  • Raquel Quesada is the brand manager
  • Esther Quesada is the vp of the board of director

Hostos Fernández Quesada, who worked in factory operations, informed halfwheel he resigned two weeks ago.

“It’s a personal decision for me to look for other options and I wish them the best,” said Fernández Quesada to halfwheel.

This is the latest in a series of changes for Quesada that began last year. The company moved its distribution operations from Miami to the Dominican Republic. During that process, Terence Reilly—who served as the company’s general manager in charge of its U.S. and Canadian sales—resigned.  At the time, those changes were being led by Pierre Elorga, who served as the general manager of the entire company, he is no longer with the company as well.

Manuel Quesada, who is the company’s president, will remain with the company in charge of blending and as a brand ambassador.
