When the most recent Edición Regional for Switzerland, the Punch Supremos, made its debut at the country’s Habanos Day last October, it was announced that a limited edition humidor would also be released, but no date had been set. When the cigars arrived at retail in mid-March, the humidor was still in the works, but with no confirmed release date or price.

Today, the Punch Supremos Edición Regional Suiza 2015 humidor is finally available for sale at La Casa del Habano shops in the country.

The humidor, designed to look like a cigar press, is limited to 100 units, each containing 50 of the Punch Supremos. Each humidor comes with an internal humidification system and is priced at CHF 3,800, or approximately US $3,841.

On the left side of the humidor is a carving of the iconic Mr. Punch character, with his catchphrase “that’s the way to do it!” engraved on the top. Mr. Punch traces his history back to 17th century Italy and became known as one of the main characters in Punch and Judy shows in Europe. After defeating his adversaries, he would declare that line.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
