Today, the Procigar Festival announced that it will be holding its next event from Feb. 16-21, 2025.
The event, which brings together cigar smokers from around the world, celebrates the Dominican cigar industry and is highlighted by visits to the fields and factories that produce the country’s top cigars, as well as seminars, tastings, and nightly dinners celebrating the country’s premium cigar industry. The event begins in the southeastern part of the country before progressing to Santiago de Los Caballeros, which is considered the cigar capital of the country.
The opening date of registration for Procigar 2025 has not yet been announced, but a press release said it would be announced soon. More information about the event can be found on the Procigar website.
Procigar was formed in 1992 by a group of the Dominican Republic’s top cigar makers to set a shared standard of excellence that would protect and preserve the reputation and future of the country’s cigar industry while promoting the rich heritage of its land, which it has dubbed Cigar Country. Member manufacturers often include the Procigar logo on the guarantee seal of their cigar boxes to indicate that they adhere to the group’s standards.
