June 27, 2012 (Miami, FL) – Miami’s up and coming Wynwood Arts District will soon be home to its very own handcrafted, premium cigar brand, Wynwood Cigars. They will be manufactured at Wynwood Cigar Factory, the brainchild of Miami-based co-founders, Robert Caldwell and Christian Eiroa. The young and savvy Caldwell is also the owner of Hotel Humidor, which services luxury lifestyle hospitality venues and customers. “We’re very pleased to share our passion for cigar making and are excited to launch the first line, Wynwood Honduran, in July. Experienced connoisseurs and novice enthusiasts alike will definitely enjoy the balanced, creamy complexity this blend provides.”

Well known in the cigar world, Eiroa brings extensive industry expertise to the partnership.
He built the highly acclaimed international brand, Camacho Cigars, along with his father,
Julio, which they sold to Davidoff of Geneva in 2008. “We’ve chosen four sizes for Wynwood Honduran that are a little unique—46 x 5 ½, 50 x 4 ½, a mini Diadema and 52 x6, and will
range in price from $7-$9. Each size provides the same great experience and flavor profile.”

Embracing the spirit of the Wynwood community, the artistry of cigar making will be showcased at Wynwood Cigar Factory. “We’re putting together a team of the most highly qualified cigar rollers from Honduras through a series of competitions,” noted Caldwell. “We’ll have tobacco artisans creating our premium cigars daily right here in Wynwood.” Once rolled and properly “rested”, the cigars will be boxed and distributed to retailers nationwide. The Wynwood Cigar factory opening is slated for early Fall of this year.

The spirit of the Wynwood Cigars brand and factory is perfectly captured in their tagline, “Celebrating the Artistry of Cigars,” which perfectly dovetails with the creative Wynwood neighborhood it will soon call home.
