February 21, 2013 (Gilbert, Ariz.) — Itxtdeals, a leader in SMS Text message marketing and Smartphone app developing, has been chosen to create the Pedro Martin Cigars Mobile App available today on both Android and IOS platforms.

Pedro Martin Cigars is releasing two new cigars this year: the Casa Martin and the Limited Pedro Martin. “This year is very special,” Maria Martin said, with her father Pedro Martin being recognized at the No Joke Smoke 2013 in Hawaii during its event titled “Remembering the Legends”.

Pedro Martin Cigars has brought “the spirit of the old world together with the strength of the new world” joining in the mobile arena was a natural progression to its marketing platform. The App allows its users to learn about each Pedro Martin Cigar, and it allows the user to find a retail location and keep up with social media.

Pedro Martin passed away in 2010 at the age of 81, but his legacy lives on in the cigars that bear his name and the woman who makes them. Today, Martin Family of Cigars is run by his daughter Maria Martin, an accomplished cigar maker in her own right who learned her craft at her father’s side and inherited both his skill as a master blender and his uncompromising standards of quality.

Maria Martin mentioned how it is an honor to be one of the few women in the cigar industry, however she never forgets her father and what he accomplished. Maria has agreed to be a keynote speaker this year at the No Joke Smoke 2013 Event. The event is focused on the pioneers of the cigar industry.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
