July 26, 2012 — For the fourth year in a row premium wine, craft beer, and cigars will be featured at Crush & Roll West, rated the #1 Wine and Cigar Event on the west Coast by Cigar Snob Magazine. Hundreds are expected to turn out September 14 and 15 at the Paso Robles Fairgrounds to taste the best wine, beer, and cigars in the world. Wineries represented are among the best on the Central Coast with representation from Paso Robles to Santa Barbara.

Once again, Crush & Roll West will be a two-day event starting on Friday, September 14 from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Friday’s casual mixer will feature cigar and wine tasting and we will be all in with our second annual poker tourney with great prizes. Your ticket includes live entertainment by the JD Project, complimentary appetizers, raffles, a commemorative wine glass and a live auction for the charity, Project Mañana.

Saturday will bring on 50 different vendors including over 20 wine and beer vendors, 20 cigar vendors and lifestyle vendors of various types. Cigar tasting and cigar rolling demonstrations will entertain and delight, as cigar manufacturers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Honduras and Costa Rica will be on hand to provide their hand crafted cigars. In addition, Saturday’s event will include education seminars with top industry experts from craft beer to cigars.

Crush & Roll is quickly becoming one of the most popular cigar festivals, and with good reason. Crush & Roll attracts couples with varying interests; wine connoisseurs who find out that they also like cigars, and cigar aficionados who enjoy vino. “I am always pleasantly surprised by how many wine drinkers are newly exposed to fine handmade cigars and how many cigar smokers are newly exposed to premium wines, says David “Doc” Diaz, one of the event promoters. “There are so many similarities between the two industries: both are made from harvestable products, both are blended, fermented, aged, and can be enhanced with proper aging. These are two ancient artisanal crafts and they make excellent partners.”

This year’s Crush & Roll West charity benefactor will be Project Mañana, a non-profit 501(c)3 humanitarian organization dedicated to bettering the lives of impoverished children, their families and communities through nutrition, education, and guidance.
