Powstanie SBC 18 Coming Later This Year
There was a Powsanie SBC 16, no Powstanie SBC 17, but there will be a Powstanie SBC 18.
The new limited edition Powstanie will once again be a 5 1/2 x 46 corona. It uses the same blend as the original release—a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers—though the main wrapper will be a Mexican San Andrés version and Ecuadorian Connecticut accents.
Mike Szczepankewicz of Powstanie told halfwheel he expects pricing to be $16 per cigar—the same as the original—though it’s not confirmed. Production will be 250 boxes of 20 cigars, just like the original, and it will feature the same design with an updated color scheme.
SBC is an acronym for surrounded by champions. A description inside the box of the original explains the meaning:
This truly limited cigar has a production of only 250 boxes. It’s important to recognize that great accomplishments require the team to be successful. Too often we see success only as a face of a single man. Surrounded by Champions 16 is a cigar that pays homage to the people that made Powstanie possible. The main ingredient of greatness is the rest of the team.
The company will take orders at the 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 13 in Las Vegas, and the cigar is expected to ship later in the year.
