The first of the Powstanie cigars will be released today.

It’s a new cigar from the brothers behind Florida-based Cigar Hustler and Fabrica de Tabacos NicaSueño S.A., the factory best known for producing RoMa Craft Tobac’s brands. The first of the new cigars is Powstanie Habano, a two-vitola line that uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper, Indonesian binder and Dominican criollo, Estelí ligero and other tobaccos from Condega and Jalapa as fillers.

The Belicoso (5 1/4 x 54) is priced at $9.50 and the Toro (6 x 52) at $10. Both cigars comes in boxes of 21.

Later this year, Powstanie Maduro will be released, a blend that uses a broadleaf maduro wrapper, Indonesian binder and fillers including Estelí ligero and tobaccos from Jalapa and Pueblo Nuevo.

Mike Szczepankewicz told halfwheel the cigars will initially be available only at Cigar Hustler, but subsequent shipments will see the cigar head to other accounts nationwide.
