Pospiech, Inc.—the distribution company behind Powstanie and other brands—has announced its latest one-off cigar.
It’s called The BDP Cigar, a 6 1/2 x 54 toro made by Córdoba & Morales. Keeping with previous Pospiech releases, the company is declining to disclose factual details about what tobaccos are used. It says the wrapper is “Hyperborean Sungrown Toro” and the fillers are “from the Island of Nauru.” A press release says the cigars are made in Nicaragua.
It will have an MSRP of $14 per cigar and it is limited to 400 bundles of 20 cigars.
As for the name, it’s a reference to Mike Palmer, who co-hosts the Cigar Hustlers Podcast with Mike Szczepankiewicz.
“I’m very proud of Mike Palmer and all of his tedious hard work on his first blend,” said Szczepankiewicz in a press release. “It’s like a father watching his son catch his first football. Spread your wings baby bird. Spread your wings.”
Szczepankiewicz confirmed to halfwheel the BDP part of the name stands for big dick Palmer.
