Phillips & King International has revealed a new and updated corporate brand identity, as well as plans to launch a new wholesale e-commerce platform.

In a press release, the company said that the new brand identity will mark the beginning of the next chapter in the company’s story, which dates back to 1906. Dubbed a “contemporary refinement of the company’s shield and knight badge,” the updated branding is a visual cue that signifies Phillip & King’s mission to modernize the business, while paying homage to the equity earned over its 116-year heritage.

As part of that look towards the future, the company also announced plans for a complete digital transformation of its business, which is being done to better serve the evolving needs of its retail customers and brand partners. The company said that over the course of the year, it will be launching a host of enhancements to its business, including a new web platform expected to launch early in the second quarter that will make it “easier than ever for stores to discover and stock the products that consumers want most.”

The company will also be expanding its product and category assortment to help its brand partners reach more buyers and give stores access to new products on the market.

“The future of B2B wholesale commerce is both digital and highly-personalized,” said Jason Carignan, president of Phillips & King, via a press release. “Our new web platform will enable us to more easily connect buyers and sellers across the industry and offer a more expansive array of products and categories, all while improving the personal connection our sales teams have with customers. We believe that retailers should be able to manage their entire business with ease from their mobile device and have access to business intelligence— and expert guidance—that helps drive inventory-buying decisions. This new platform is the first step in our quest to helping stores thrive in the new retail reality.”

The company will have its  new branding on display at the 2022 Tobacco Plus Expo later this month in Las Vegas.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
