Perdomo has become known for being one of a handful of companies who offer tours of its factory, welcoming consumer and retailers from all around the world to its facilities in Nicaragua. Now, they are bringing the Perdomo Factory Tour to retailers by way of a new line of cigars slated to debut at the 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.

Like many of Perdomo’s recently announced lines, the Factory Tour will be available in three wrapper options, Sun Grown, Connecticut and Maduro, with four sizes in each blend: a 5 x 52 Robusto, 6 x 52 Toro,  6 1/2 x 54 Torpedo and 7 x 52 Churchill.

The Sun Grown version uses a wrapper from Nicaragua’s Jalapa Valley over a binder from Nicaragua’s Condega Valley and fillers from the Estelí Valley of Nicaragua, while the Factory Tour Maduro keeps that blend but replaces the top leaf with a maduro wrapper, also from Jalapa.

For a milder offering, the Factory Tour Connecticut uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Jalapa Valley binder and filler from the Estelí Valley.

All of the options in the Perdomo Factory Tour line are being offered in 24-count bundles and boxes, with pricing expected to be between $6 and $7.50 per cigar, before taxes. The company is hoping that retailers will put the new line front and center in their humidors and is offering a display fixture as part of the line’s launch:

The Perdomo Factory Tour series first came to light in February when the company announced it along with the Small Batch Series and Special Craft Series.

A shipping date for the new line has not been announced by the company.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
