Last year, Dr. Pablo Richard did not make his customary visit to the PCA Convention & Trade Show. Seemingly anyone based in Europe was unable to get the required approvals and paperwork to enter the U.S. and leave the trade show, so it was nice to see Richard in person at the trade show.

Most years, Richard has nothing that is technically “new,” as Patoro’s modus operandi is to release its cigars first in Europe before bringing them over to the U.S. at some point later on. That’s not simply the case this year, though only one of the five “new” SKUs Patoro was selling at the trade show is actually making its debut at PCA 2022.

Patoro’s cigars are produced by De Los Reyes and like others, it’s located within the De Los Reyes booth. As I’ve mentioned elsewhere, this will be the last year for this iteration of the De Los Reyes booth.

Patoro Terre Blanche National Launch + Robusto

The Terre Blanche is the first time that Patoro has debuted a blend in the U.S. before selling it in Europe. Last winter, the company gave Industrial Cigar Co. of Frisco, Texas the exclusive launch and an exclusive window to sell the cigar before it opened up sales to other accounts. That time is now here and this cigar will be available to other stores this month. In addition, Patoro has added the Robusto size to the lineup for Terre Blanche.

Patoro Serie P Cameroon

This is pretty easy to understand unless you try to go find out information about the Serie P Cameroon on the internet. In the U.S., the Serie P is sold as “Patoro Serie P” and uses a Brazilian wrapper. In Europe, the Serie P uses a Cameroon wrapper but is also sold as the “Patoro Serie P.” Now the Cameroon version is coming to America in two sizes, with prices the same as the Brazilian version.

There are no pictures because I shot pictures of the Terre Blanche box thinking it was the Serie P Cameroon. Fun times.

  • Filler: Dominican Republic
  • Patoro Serie P Cameroon Methusalem (5 1/8 x 54) — $11.40 (Box of 20, $228)
  • Patoro Serie P Cameroon Balthasar (6 x 58) — $12.50 (Box of 20, $250)

Note: I also apparently forgot to take a picture of a Patoro logo, so the one used for a featured image is from last year’s trade show.
