Although Blanco Cigar Co. is not showing anything new at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show, that does not mean that owner David Blanco does not have some things to talk about, especially when it comes to upcoming projects.

Blanco is as affable and gregarious as ever and his booth is a bit larger this year compared to last year, which means that there is enough room for another table to display more cigars.

The first of those aforementioned upcoming projects is the bookend to Blanco’s Prince Hall Series named Order of the Eastern Star, which is scheduled to ship to retailers sometime before the end of the year. In addition, Blanco is planning on releasing a cigar to commemorate his cigar company’s 25th year in business early next year.

Update — The original version of this article indicated Blanco Cigar Co.’s new line would be called “Order of the Easter Star,” it is called “Order of the Eastern Star.”

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
