With Asylum being part of the CLE family of brands, they’re located in the same booth as they have been in previous years. This year though, the whole booth has been updated for the first time in quite a while. Much like many of the other manufacturers, they decided to go with a minimal setup.

Having said that, if I had to guess, the booth footprint looks to be about the same size. While they were impressive, the tall white walls really made the booth feel closed in, and if the booth was busy, good luck navigating it. The new design opens it up a lot, and while the booth was fairly busy, it was easy to get around.

Asylum PCA Exclusive

The Asylum PCA Exclusive is indeed a true show exclusive, with Tom Lazuka being very clear that it would only be available to retailers who came to the show.

The interesting thing about it though, is it isn’t a limited edition cigar. The retailers who initially order it can reorder it whenever they need it throughout the year. On another interesting note, the lid of the box also flips over and turns into an ashtray.

I have been smoking cigars since 2005 and reviewing them as a hobby since 2010. Initially, I started out small with a 50-count humidor and only smoking one or two cigars a month. Not knowing anybody else that smoked cigars, it was only an occasional hobby that I took part in. In March of 2010, I joined Nublive and Cigar Asylum, connecting me with many people who also shared an interest in cigars. Reading what they had to say about brands I had never heard of, I quickly immersed myself in the boutique brands of the industry and it was then that cigars transformed from a hobby into a passion.
