It took me a few different attempts to get into the AGANORSA Leaf booth. Yes, into the AGANORSA Leaf booth. Even on the afternoon of Day 1, the booth was super busy and overflowing into multiple aisles. Terence Reilly, vp of AGANORSA Leaf, said it probably helped that the company is only selling some of its new products to retailers who place orders in the booth. Regardless of what the cause is, one major help is the progressive increase in popularity for AGANORSA Leaf and its cigars, especially the non-JFR brands.

Like so many other companies I am assigned to on Day 1, AGANORSA Leaf’s booth is smaller. Reilly told me the company realized that couches don’t help cigars so it reduced some of the excess furniture. Beyond the cost savings, smaller booths look busy and it was tough for me to get five minutes with Reilly, even though there were plenty of other AGANORSA employees on hand.

I tried to get a picture of the booth, but the AGANORSA Leaf team seemed real content on the photobomb.

AGANORSA Leaf Aniversario Maduro

This cigar was formerly known as the Casa Fernández Aniversario, though as part of the company’s rebrand from Casa Fernández to AGANORSA Leaf it’s finally getting a new name and new packaging, which isn’t the easiest to photograph thanks to its glossy white appearance. Brooks Whittington smoked one earlier this morning and told me it was “smooth,” so I’m looking forward to trying it. The blend remains the same as the last release and it is still rolled in Miami.

One note, the Toro is only available to retailers who place orders at the trade show while the Short Churchill will be offered only to AGANORSA Leaf Select accounts.
