ADV & McKay is one of a dozen or so companies which is part of the Sutliff Tobacco booth because of their distribution agreement with the company, which marked a significant downsizing from the company’s 2019 booth, but also the opportunity to introduce its products to a wider range of retailers passing through to see all of the companies inside. Each brand got about a bookcase’s worth of space to show off their portfolios and their new products for the show.

Henderson Ventura was on hand for this year’s show, and he was showing off a new size for one of his lines while teasing some upcoming new sizes that will join the company’s other lines. It should be a busy couple of months coming for the ADVentura line, so keep your eyes out for their new products. But in the meantime, Ventura might have himself a new quest: finding out who looted the booth of the two boxes of the new cigar that was on display.

ADVentura The Royal Return King’s Gold Corona

Instead of a new adventure for ADVentura, the company is adding a new size to one of its more recently released lines, The Royal Return King’s Gold. It’s adding a 6 x 44 corona, which joins the robusto and toro already in the line, and should be on store shelves by the end of the month.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
