Paul Stulac Red Screaming Sun Lancero Returns to the U.S.

For the first time since 2014, the Paul Stulac Red Screaming Sun Lancero will be sold in the U.S.

The cigar was originally sold at The Humidor in Witchita, Kan. as part of a Reservoir Dogs-inspired sampler in late 2014. Now it will be offered through Privada Cigar Club both to its monthly subscription customers and through a new online storefront.

As for the cigar, it’s a 7 x 38 lancero using a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper over a Sumatra binder and Nicaraguan fillers. While the original cigars were rolled in the U.S. by Guillermo Pena, they are now made at Tabacalera La Perla in Nicaragua, which is where Pena is currently making cigars.

This might be the first time in over four years the cigars are available in the U.S., but Stulac has continued making the cigar. Last March, 100 boxes were made for the Canadian market.

Privada Cigar Club says that it has 200 cigars to be sold to its members, though it hasn’t disclosed a price. The company is best known as a monthly subscription service.
