A cabinet containing 300 Partagás Coronas Selección Sublimes sold for £37,000 ($54,350) earlier this evening as C.Gars Ltd hosted its June auction.

In total, 290 lots—almost exclusively of collectible Cuban cigars—sold for $770,000 including a 15 percent premium to both the buyer and seller.

Mitchell Orchant, managing director of C.Gars Ltd, said prices for pre-embargo Cuban cigars had reached all-time high and the interest for “quality” Dunhill and vintage Cuban cigars is still strong.

Vintage Davidoff prices, which up until very recently have been skyrocketing “remained firm,” though Orchant noted the interest for the Davidoff Dom Perignon, oftentimes the most expensive Cuban-made Davidoff, has declined.

Seven lots did not sell at auction, although three were sold after bidding closed, out of the seven four were Davidoff including two of the six Dom Perignon lots offered for sale.

C.Gars Ltd now hosts three auctions per year. One auction—hosted this past March—is conducted entirely online, while the other two have a live in-person format as well as simultaneous online bidding. Today’s auction was hosted at The Bulgari Hotel in London.

The Partagás Coronas Selección Sublime was a cabinet, featuring two handles, of 5 1/2 x 42 pre-embargo cigars imported J. Leon & Co. Ltd, a London-based investment firm. The auction guide estimated £35,000-45,000.

It’s unclear where exactly this ranges in most expensive lots sold at a C.Gars Ltd auction, but Orchant confirmed it was one of the most expensive items he’s sold during the now eight years the auctions have been held by C.Gars Ltd.

The London-based retailer will hold its final auction for 2016 in December.
