Padilla Poética Debuting This Summer
In addition to the latest version of the Padilla 8 & 11, Padilla Cigar Co. has a new project being made by A.J. Fernández.
The Padilla Poética uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. Ernesto Padilla told halfwheel that the line will launch in three box-pressed sizes:
- Padilla Poética Robusto (5 x 52)
- Padilla Poética Toro (6 x 52)
- Padilla Poética Gordo (6 x 60)
Pricing is expected to be between $10-14 per cigar.
Padilla explained that he and Abdel Fernández worked together over a decade ago producing exclusive releases for Cigars International.
The cigar’s band will feature lines from “El Justo Tiempo Humano,” a poem written by Humberto Padilla, Ernesto Padilla’s father.
Padilla also said a “full-bodied” Connecticut version of Poética is also in the works.
