Padilla Miami 8 & 11 Returns With New Sizes

The Padilla Miami 8 & 11 is back again.

Once again, El Titan de Bronze in Miami’s Calle Ocho neighborhood will be handling production. The line, which will be released in small batches according to Ernesto Padilla, will be offered in four sizes: Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), Lancero (7 1/4 x 42) and a Short Perfecto.

Padilla told halfwheel pricing will be between $11-15 per cigar.

The line will first be sold in paper 10-count soft packs, though boxes could come at a later date.

It features the same blend as the 2011 release of the Miami 8 & 11, an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan criollo binder and Nicaraguan fillers.

The line was originally introduced in 2005 made by José “Pepín” García at his El Rey de los Habanos factory in Miami. In 2010, it would change names to Padilla Miami and production was moved to Raíces Cubanas. A year later, production move again, this time to El Titan de Bronze. In 2012, he added the Padilla Miami Maduro, which is made at El Titan de Bronze.

Padilla will debut the new sizes at the 2016 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, which begins July 25 in Las Vegas.

Update (July 12, 2016) — Some wording has been changed to indicate the cigar was never formally discontinued, rather, various factories have been used to produce the cigar over the years.
