The Padilla Miami is back. Again.

Like last year, Ernesto Padilla will be bringing a new version of the Padilla Miami 8 & 11 to the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. This one is being labeled as the Padilla Miami 8 & 11 (2005 Blend). It is a Nicaraguan puro with a Cuban-seed corojo wrapper, a criollo binder and Condega corojo and Jalapa criollo fillers.

This version is being produced by Raíces Cubanas in Honduras.

The 8 & 11 and Miami names have a long history. It was originally introduced in 2005 made by José “Pepín” García at his El Rey de los Habanos factory in Miami’s Calle Ocho neighborhood, located on 8th Street & 11th Ave.

In 2010, a new cigar, named Padilla Miami was introducedand production was moved to Raíces Cubanas. A year later, production move again, this time to El Titan de Bronze. In 2012, Padilla added the Padilla Miami Maduro, which was also made at El Titan de Bronze. There have also been a couple of short-lived versions, notably in 2008, Padilla opened up his own cigar factory, where he rolled cigars, and last year, he brought an El Titan de Bronze-made version to the IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, though it’s unclear whether that cigar ever shipped to stores.

It will now be offered in eight sizes.

  • Padilla Miami 8 & 11 Toro (6 x 52) — $14 (Boxes of 20, $280)
