The third line from Ozgener Family Cigars will ship to stores next month.

It’s called Aramas, which references Mount Ararat, a dormant volcano located near the borders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran and Turkey. In Armenian, it is known as Masis, and the Aramas name is meant to combine the two names.

As for the blend, it uses a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua as well as Connecticut broadleaf. It is made at Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. in the Dominican Republic.

Aramas will be offered in four regular production vitolas:

  • Aramas A52 (5 x 52) — $12.75 (Box of 20, $255)
  • Aramas A54 (6 1/4 x 54) — $13.75 (Box of 20, $275)
  • Aramas A55 (5 1/2 x 55) — $15 (Box of 20, $300)
  • Aramas A60 (6 x 60) — $15.75 (Box of 20, $315)

The A54 size is a torpedo.

“Aramas is an homage to my father, Cano Ozgener, his penchant for hard work, and his value for the relationships he cultivated in his lifetime,” said Tim Ozgener, founder of Ozgener Family Cigars, in a press release. “We worked with Ernesto (Perez-Carrillo) on Aramas to develop adense, complex, and rich blend, that alsoretained impeccable balance.”

In the U.S., Crowned Heads distributes Ozgener Family Cigars.
