The Oregon Parks and Recreation Commission has adopted an outdoor smoking ban at Oregon State Parks, a measure that will go into effect in 2015. The new rule will ban smoking inside parks with the exception of at campsites and inside vehicles.
Last month, a series of meetings for public comment were held. Reports indicated that few people spoke in opposition of the proposal.
Fines are expected to be between $60 and $110.
