The Oliva Serie V 135th Anniversary Edición Limitada is coming back, and should be much more readily available for those who missed out on the first release or simply want to replenish their supply.

Oliva announced that while it will still be a limited production, the cigar will become an annual release, with two batches set to be released in 2022. The first batch will be 6,000 boxes of 12 cigars that are slated to ship in April, while the second batch will come out in November and will have 15,000 boxes of 12 cigars.

The cigar is still a 5 1/2 x 54 figurado, with the foot the end that gets the taper, and the blend remains the same, using an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder and filler. The packaging format remains the same, though the cigar is getting a bit more expensive, as it will have an MSRP of $10.50 per cigar, a 50-cent increase over the first batch.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
