Effective July 1, Oliva Cigar Co. will be the U.S. distributor of Neos. Oliva takes over from J.C. Newman.

Neos is a brand of cigarillos produced by J. Cortès, which purchased Oliva last year.

“I am writing to let you know that J.C. Newman Cigar Company will no longer be representing the NEOS brand of cigars, effective July 1, 2017,” said Bobby Newman, evp of J.C. Newman Cigar Co., in a letter to its retailers. “As you may know, J. Cortès, which makes NEOS cigars, purchased Oliva Cigar Company last year. Therefore, Oliva will be taking over the distribution of NEOS in America beginning next month. We anticipate a smooth and seamless transition, and Oliva will be contacting you soon to ensure that your NEOS needs are met.”

Cory Bappert, vp of sales for Oliva, told halfwheel that Neos will be featured in Oliva’s booth at next month’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show.
