Oliva has announced an innovative program that will allow you to find when and who rolled your box of Oliva Serie V Melanio.

The company will place a QR code in each box of Serie V Melanio that will allow smokers to see information such as the person who bunched, the person who rolled the cigar, the original of the tobacco and other information. In addition, consumers will be able to provide feedback.

A QR code is worked by taking a picture of it via a smartphone. That opens a browser window with the information.

Oliva worked with Esoptra, a Belgian data company, whose platform—ZAZA.Rocks—is made so that the user doesn’t need a separate account to use the information.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
