Later this month, Ohana Cigars will release the fourth installment of its Toasted Marshmallows limited edition, and this year, the company is releasing two blends.

One blend uses an Ecuadorian habano maduro wrapper, while the other uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Both blends get a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with a focus on tobacco from the Condega and Jalapa regions, according to Ryan Rodriguez of Ohana Cigars.

Both blends are offered in a 4 x 44 petit corona vitola, and are offered in five-packs that have an MSRP of $39.99 and come with a design drawn by Rodriguez. There are different amounts of cigars being released, however. For the maduro version, 600 packs have been produced, while only 400 packs of the Connecticut are being released. For those that want a mix of the two blends, the company has created 500 packs that contain four of the maduro and one of the Connecticut.

All of the cigars are being produced by Origen Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua. This is the first time that the factory has produced the Toasted Marshmallows, as each year, Ohana Cigars creates a new blend and works with a new factory to produce the cigars.

The cigars are only available to existing Ohana Nui accounts, and will be released on Aug. 30, which is National Toasted Marshmallow Day.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury, the G-League's Valley Suns, and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
