Familia Rodriguez Tobacos LLC, the parent of the Ohana Cigars brand, has a new brand: Left Hand Cigar Co.

The company will begin with two new releases—Blurred Lines and Lefthander—both offered in a single size. Blurred Lines is a barberpole with habano and habano maduro wrappers over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers. It’s offered in a 6 x 54 toro size with a closed foot. Pricing is set at $11 per cigar.

The Lefthander is actually the Ohana Pulse, but with a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper. Underneath it uses tobaccos from the Condega, Jalapa and Ometepe regions of Nicaragua. It will be sold in a 6 x 52 box-pressed size, priced at $11.99.

Both cigars will be sold in five-packs and eventually boxes of 20.

Initial production will be in an undisclosed factory in Nicaragua, under the supervision of Noel Rojas. A press release says the company will likely move production to Rojas’ Richardson, Texas-based factory in the future.

Blurred Lines is expected to ship in late July, while the Lefthander is likely to head to stores in mid-August.
