Oettinger Davidoff AG has opened its new headquarters in Basel, named Maison Davidoff.

The new building replaces the company’s old headquarters. It’s a seven-floor, 82,500-square-foot space that includes everything from working areas to a cafeteria, and of course a cigar lounge. It would appear the parking garage is counted in the floor count.

“I would like to thank our wonderful colleagues and partner companies, who have worked with so much passion on this project right up to the very last minute,” said Beat Hauenstein, ceo of Oettinger Davidoff AG, in a press release.

“Today’s official opening not only represents a milestone in the history of our company, but Maison Davidoff is also a magnificent gift from the owners, and after two years of construction we can finally move in. It’s a joyous and happy homecoming. The new building will encourage inter-divisional collaboration and will promote creativity, productivity and innovation, which will be crucially important for the successful global growth of our cigar business.”

Construction began in 2015 amidst a variety of other building projects for the company around the world.

Basel-based Diener & Diener Architekten was the architect while Lassoudry Architects GmbH handled interior decorating.
