Altadis USA confirmed that the Vega Fina Sumum 2010, a cigar previously available only in European markets, will soon be coming to U.S. retailers.
While the European market is selling a tubed version, U.S. consumers will get a non-tubed version, and only in one size – a 5 x 54 Robusto. It is expected to land at retail in mid-February.
The cigar uses two-year old aged tobacco:
- Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano
- Binder: Connecticut Broadleaf
- Filler: Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Peru
It is being made at Tabacalera de García in La Romana, Dominican Republic, and was the creation of the Tabacalera de García blending team.
The Vega Fina Sumum 2010 will come with a MSRP of $6.75 and be sold in ten-count boxes. Total production is listed at 2500 boxes.
