Valeroso to Launch Primavera at IPCPR Debut
Among the cigars debuting at this week’s IPCPR Convention and Trade Show is the Valeroso Primavera, a cigar being made at Manuel Quesada’s MATASA factory in the Dominican Republic.
The new line has already been made available to a handful of retailers, but the entire industry will get a look at the eight vitola line at this year’s trade show. The Valeroso Primavera is being offered in a Toro, Churchill, Lancero, Lonsdale, Corona, Robusto, Robusto Extra and Torpedo, with prices ranging from $8 – $10 per cigar. There are plans to add two more sizes at the end of the year to the regular production line.
The cigar uses an Ecuadoran wrapper with Dominican and Nicaraguan filler and is said to be medium to medium full bodied.
Valeroso is based in Los Angeles and was founded by Sean Hadley and Marie Cabrera, the great niece of Gilberto Leon, who was known in the Los Angeles area for his hand made cigars.
