Toraño Family Cigar Company is the latest manufacturer to announce price increases in 2012. In a letter sent to retailers earlier in the week, Bruce Lewis, vice-president of sales and marketing, announced a 3.5 percent price increase on all brands except Vault and Loyal.

The increase is effective April 1, 2012. Like many others, Lewis cited an increase in manufacturing costs. While this is Toraño’s first price increase since 2009, they join a long list of manufactures that have raised prices in 2012 including: OlivaGeneral Cigar Co.Altadis USADavidoffPerdomoSAG Imports and La Flor Dominicana.
