The coming Havana Cellars lancero sampler was shown off in its most rudimentary and earliest form earlier today when company founder Pete Johnson tweeted bundles of six of the possible entrants for the 2014 project.

Tatuaje Lancero Sampler

Johnson announced the project last month in an interview with Stogie Geeks, although he made it clear at least some part of the release was up in the air. At the time, Cabaiguan, Cabaiguan Guapos, Havana VI (Red Label) and La Riqueza were confirmed entrants. Johnson said that Fausto was a possibility, although he was unsure if it would work because of the heavier tobaccos. The photograph above shows La Casita Criolla in a 7 1/2 x 38 format, which Johnson told halfwheel might be part of the sampler.

This would mean that all of Havana Cellars formalized lines would have a 7 1/2 x 38 size outside of Ambos Mundos and Serie P. The Selección de Cazadores (Brown Label) line has featured the 7 1/2 x 38 Especiales from its debut in 2003. El Triunfador received the No. 6 in 2010 when that label debuted. The brown-banded El Triunfador Lancero has been described as essentially a Cabaiguan Maduro Lancero.

Last year, Private Reserve (Black Label) received a Lancero as part of The Old Man and the C. Johnson also released the Tattoo, which is described as a Brown Label Especiales with a habano rosado oscuro wrapper in 2011.
