A new line of cigars that is described as the most premium offering from Room101 to date is on the way.

“This is the most premium Room101 offering to-date,” said Dylan Austin, Head of Marketing for Room101. “That includes the blend and the package, both being above and beyond what has ever been developed for the brand.”

The Room101 Master Collection is slated to be a two-part release, with the first half being released in July and the second half coming in Fall 2013. Sizes, blends and pricing for the two releases are still being finalized, though Matt Booth has said that a Lancero is likely to be part of the first release.

Both the Master Collection 1 and Master Collection 2 are slated to be one-time releases consisting of multiple vitolas.

The cigar was first publicly seen at Smoke Inn’s The Great Smoke event in West Palm Beach, Fla., though the cigars circulating were not final blends and not intended for public consumption.

Initial details of the Room101 Master Collection were first reported on Cigar-Coop.com.

About the author

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
