Quesada Makes 80th Anniversary Exclusive for Canada’s House of Horvath

Quesada has a new cigar exclusive to the Canadian market. Manuel Quesada’s company has been tasked with making an 80th anniversary cigar for Canadian distributor House of Horvath.

Quesada’s relationship with the distribution goes back to 1980, when he and Joseph E. Horvath began their friendship.

In June, two different cigars will debut in Canada for the 80th anniversary celebration in three sizes.

The Cubana Red Label is comprised of Connecticut-grown shade wrapper over a Mexican Sumatra binder and Dominican fillers. Red Label will get a Robusto, Toro (6 x 50) and Corona (6 x 43).

The Cubana Black Label Limitada features a Honduran Criollo 98 wrapper over Dominican binder and Nicaraguan and Dominican fillers. A bulkier Robusto (5 x 52) joins a Toro (6 x 50) and Petit Corona (4 3/4 x 43).

This is not a limited edition, rather just a limited distribution. Interestingly, House of Horvath owns the rights to both names in Canada.

Both lines are sold in boxes of 24 with vitolas ranging from $8.00-$12.00 Canadian. Unlike the Selección España, Quesada will not be distributing Cubana in any capacity in the U.S.

This is one of two exclusive distribution lines Quesada had slated for June, the other being Torcido, a cigar being made for Just for Him Shop of Springfield, MO.
