Perdomo has released a new limited release cigar for the Lone Star State, called the Perdomo Texas Edition. The cigar was tweeted about by at least one attendee of the recent Texas Cigar Festival where it was available for sale.

The cigar is available in three sizes, all of which use an Ecuadoran Connecticut wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler are made at Perdomo’s factory in Nicaragua:

  • Perdomo Texas Edition Robusto (5 x 50) – $6.50 (Boxes of 24, $139.95)
  • Perdomo Texas Edition Toro (6 x 50) – $6.75 (Boxes of 24, $145.50)
  • Perdomo Texas Edition Churchill (7 x 50) – $7.00 (Boxes of 24, $150.95)

The cigars were created for Great Discovery’s in Houston but have since been made available to at least one other retailer in the state.

In September 2012, Altadis USA released the Montecristo Connoisseur Texas Edition Titan, a 6 x 60 that was the second release in a series of regional editions that also includes cigars for New York, Las Vegas and Chicago.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
