Eddie Ortega has confirmed to halfwheel that he will continue producing the exclusive cigar that debuted at Fox Cigar Bar’s Foxtoberfest last month. The 6 1/2 x 38 Lancero was limited to just 1,000 cigars, which sold out, prompting the Arizona retailer to request Ortega to make the release a regular fixture at the shop, something he plans on doing beginning next year.

According to Ortega, the Petit Lancero might also be joined by additional vitolas, although he said he had not determined what that might be. Fox Cigar Bar is said to be looking at as many as three additional vitolas, which Ortega seems content with creating.

This is the second single store release for Ortega Premium Cigars, the other is the Ortega El Coñejito made exclusively for the Texas liquor chain Spec’s.

The Fox is also the second time an Ortega Petit Lancero made for an event has entered expanded production. Earlier this year, Ortega released the Serie D Maduro Lancero at the D.C. Cigar Tweet-Up only to announce it would become regular production shortly thereafter.

The Ortega The Fox is made at My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
