Jameson Cigar Co. is adding a limited production 6 x 52 vitola to their La Resolución line, according to a post on the company’s blog.
Brad Mayo, president of Jameson, kept his comments on the photo of the new addition brief: “We made a very short run of these. Should be hitting the States shortly.”
La Resolución was released at the 2012 IPCPR convention and trade show in August and began shipping in September in a single vitola, a 5 x 50 Robusto. A review of the cigar can be found here.
Mayo says that this new vitola is basically a test for a new size and that only several hundred cigars are being made. He found that “the blend performs well in that vitola and it happens to be a popular size for us.”
The new 6 x 52 La Resolución will only be available through the company’s location in Huntington, WV, though some may end up at La Tradicion Cubana’s retail location in Miami. Pricing should be around $8 per stick.
Like the original Robusto, the cigars are being made at La Tradicion Cubana in Tamboril, Dominican Republic.
