On Tuesday, October 15 at Hunters & Frankau’s 2013 Cigar Party, Flor de Cano will once again return to the United Kingdom, this time in the form of the Gran Cano. The 2013 Edición Regional release measures 5 1/2 x 50 and will come in boxes of 10.

This is the second time that Flor de Cano has appeared as an exclusive for the region since the brand was discontinued in 2002. Earlier this year, 500 boxes of the Flor de Cano Grandiosos (5 5/16 x 52) appeared in the Asian market, while the Short Robusto (4 x 50) was released to the U.K. in 2011.

The party, hosted by the distributor of Cuban cigars for the United Kingdom, is being billed as the debut of the cigar, although there is still no date about when British cigar retailers will expect to have the cigar and at what price.

Update (October 17, 2013): Ajay Patel of La Casa del Habano UK sent out an e-mail this morning to customers announcing that the cigars have arrived and he expects to be fully stocked by next week. The store is having a tasting this evening to celebrate the cigars’ arrival. List price is £20 per cigar and £185 per box, but Patel is offering an introductory price of £170 through Saturday, October 19.

Update (October 23, 2013): Mitchell Orchant of C. Gars Ltd sent an e-mail today saying that the cigars have begun shipping to those who pre-ordered them.
