Quesada is expanding its event only offerings in the form of a 6 x 46 cigar. According to an article in Cigar Insider, the cigar has been made exclusively for the annual event and is not simply a test cigar. It uses a Dominican wrapper and binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Terence Reilly of SAG Imports told halfwheel he would consider it be a “low medium in strength.”

There will be 6,000 Quesada Big Smokes available to attendees of both events, the first of which kicks off this Friday in Las Vegas, Nev.

While the cigar carries the same band as the Quesada Jalapa, Reilly explained to halfwheel it does not look or taste anything like the cigar.

Event cigars have been prominent this year. Quesada recently launched one for its Oktoberfest line. Other companies, including Ortega, Aging Room, Tatuaje, RoMa Craft Tobac, STUDIO TOBAC, Espinosa and others have launched or announced cigars just for events. La Flor Dominicana has been the most prolific with three different releases this year just for events.
