Danielle Hawthorne, most recently the brand manager of Davidoff and Zino Classic, will return to the cigar industry after a year and a half-long absence. Hawthorne’s new role will be as chief marketing officer for Tabacaleras Unidas, the parent company for Christian Eiroa’s new venture.

Eiroa recently announced the CLE as his first brand, but it has been made known other brands will make their way into the Tabacaleras Unidas portfolio.

Hawthorne left Davidoff during the company’s move to Pinellas Park, FL and has not held a job in the cigar industry since.

“This is the third chapter for me in the cigar industry and I’m really excited about the whole project and the platform Christian is providing,” said Hawthorne to halfwheel.

We broke the news regarding Eiroa’s return in February this year.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
