CAO will be releasing a pair of limited edition cigars for the holiday season that they promise delivers a spicier, more complex take on the La Traviata and La Traviata Maduro blends due to the use of “the best primings for each.”

The CAO La Traviata Angry Santa is based off the original La Traviata, while the CAO La Traviata Evil Snowman is based off the La Traviata Maduro. Both will be available in a single 6 1/2 x 52 vitola and will come packed in 14-count boxes, with 1,500 boxes of each blend being produced.

CAO Angry Santa Evil Snowman

MSRP on the Angry Santa is $6.00 per cigar and $84.00 per box, while the Evil Snowman comes with an MSRP of $6.60 per cigar and $92.40 per box. CAO announced that the cigars would begin shipping in November to brick-and-mortar retailers who have supported the CAO La Traviata line, and there have been reports of the cigar already arriving at stores.

Update (Nov. 7, 2013) — A typo on the original materials resulted in the cigar being listed as 5 1/2 inches long. It is 6 1/2 inches long.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
