Boveda Inc. will begin to market and sell its 62 percent humidity control device for the cigar market at this year’s IPCPR trade show and convention. The 62 percent device is the lowest relative humidity level the company will have for the cigar market, although far from its lowest within Boveda’s larger portfolio, which includes options in the single digits.

The 62% device was actually developed specifically for the herbal medicine market, but given that some cigar smokers store cigars at RH levels as low as 60%, the company is bringing the option into its tobacco portfolio in both eight and 60-gram options.

Elsewhere, the company is continuing its partnerships with cigar manufacturers offering premium cigars in formats that allow for display and storage outside of a humidor, Rocky Patel is showing off a fully display rack full of products humidified by Boveda.
