On Tuesday, Alec Bradley announced that they have released several additional memberships in their Royal Monkey Society, with 20 Delegates, five Connoisseur and two Distinguished memberships now available for purchase.

The Royal Monkey Society is a membership-based fan website that promises “access to some of the most sought after cigars in the world,” with members receiving “these coveted cigars in multiple shipments throughout the year.” The site promises limited vitolas from blends currently being worked on, pre-release samples, one-off sizes and experimental cigars.

The memberships come with different benefits and different prices, with the Delegates membership costing $99 per year, the Connoisseur costing $249 and the Distinguished level costing $399 per year.

From the Royal Money Society website, the Distinguished level membership guarantees that “Alec Bradley will create a unique cigar blend just for you. Give us an idea of taste, strength and size and we will handle the rest. 40 cigars just for you by the Makers of the Finest Cigars in the Free World.” The membership also includes access to the Royal Monkey Club Online  and a Royal Monkey Bump Ashtray.

The Connoisseur level membership offers 32 exclusive cigars annually, with eight cigars shipped per quarter, as well as access to the Royal Monkey Club Online, a Royal Monkey Bump Ashtray and a Royal Monkey Lighter.

Delegate members, which were originally referred to as Diplomat members, receive 16 exclusive cigars annually, with four cigars shipped per quarter, as well as access to the Royal Monkey Club online.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
